Road Promises Backed for Oyater Ridge Route
The Kemmerer and Green River valley regions learned from county commissioners during a visit to the County Seat that a new road over Oyater Ridge is favored. The board plans to start next spring on a good cut‑off from Granger to the west county line, linking with Utah and Idaho roads, as a branch off the Transcontinental Lincoln Highway. Prison labor on the Salt River canyon road near the forks makes solid rock progress and may finish this year. A report of a prisoner escape is denied. The existing appropriation blocks new road work this season. A Plains Mont. man notes a crabapple tree whose roses graft onto its roots.
