District treasurers largely miss the July publication requirement for annual financial statements as set by Wyoming law. Diamondville stands as a rare district complying, prompting concern that citizens cannot see how funds are spent and may face penalties or resentment over noncompliance. Daniel F. Seerey of the Forest Service arrived in Kemmerer with C. Beach to inspect the timber lands around Hamsfork. A veteran in the lumber industry he previously led a team that studied Fontenelle and LaBarge timber for merchantable qualities after years in Cass Lake, Minnesota.
County clerk J. P. Folger indicates the Lincoln County commissioners report will be published soon. The Denver federal grand jury indicted A. E. Minium Henry Beeler W. A. Pisher and S. B. Coyler former officials of the International Asbestos Co. for stock selling frauds tied to Casper mountain mineral claims. Proceeds funded promotions, with inflated stock values and limited legitimate dividends.
Brandle y injured when his car overturned on a return trip from dipping corrals to Kem merer on Wednesday. Mal Anderson of Opal pulled him from the wreck with El Brantley and Bert Rood also inside. Brantly suffered a dislocated left shoulder. others pinned under the vehicle but not severely hurt. The crash occurred near the Fonsa ranch about 15 miles up the creek. Me Bradley reached the scene around nine that evening and the shoulder was reset the next morning. The car sustained minor damage and was repaired to continue to Opal.
A letter proposes keeping the existing pavilion in Triangle Park and adding a fountain with a trough at the corner to serve area residents during working hours. The idea aims to provide drinking water to passersby and daily workers, reflecting community care and practicality.
The Portland and Paget Sound Express now runs between Omaha and Chicago via the Chicago Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway. Denver and Centennial State Special services between Denver and Chicago shift to the same line. The Omaha Chicago short line will be double tracked this fall, with half the work completed.
