Wolves Win Bounty Bill Likely Passed by Legislature
Sim Cheyenne January 27 The wolf bounty bill is likely to pass with little opposition in the senate after a lengthy house debate. Amendments to reduce bounties on wolves to four dollars and coyotes to one dollar twenty five cents were defeated. The session also saw bills on county indebtedness and university loans tied to tax matching, plus a conflict over funding for state institutions. The Tom Horn murder case loomed over the county government debates as bills numbered 9 to 16 in the senate and 43 to 56 in the house were introduced.
