Clean Up and Paint Up Campaign Spurs Town Improvement
Amertes club women lead a spring Clean Up and Paint Up drive urging men to join local beautification and sanitation efforts. The program aims to improve health, property values, and business, with Mrs. Baxter of Kirkville and Mrs. Zimmerman of Fremont backing nationwide mobilization and advising communities. A husband who mocked the campaign later sold property at a higher price, becoming its largest donor.
