A printer aged and gray recalls a Christmas dream in which an angel visits him, praising his toil yet warning of debtors and decline. The tale ends with the printer preferring heaven on earth, while the piece critiques ownership and ornament.
Department of the Interior notice from December 12 1912 records Angelo Molinar of Kemmerer Wyoming filed notice of final proof for a land parcel described as Township 29 North in the region near Kemmerer. The proceeding names witnesses Henderson and Herbernach of Kemmerer and Joins Molinar of Hanns Wyoming with a January 23 filing date and Broutier and Waterero as officials involved.

Lewis E. Myers, a Chicago engineer, won a $250,000 concession to reproduce the Panama Canal and surrounding country in a weather proof building with a glass roof. Myers aims to educate the public by offering a faithful, scaled recreation learned from his canal zone visit.

Agricultural colleges nationwide report high demand for short winter courses. The University of Wyoming Agricultural College will offer a two week program January 6 to 17, 1918 including lectures, recitations and field work in agriculture. Afternoons cover stock judging veterinary clinics milk testing and surveying. A domestic science and art course for ladies is in preparation and evening illustrated lectures will be held.
Deputy Sheriff Rich McMinn returned to Fossil from the desert north of Rock Springs after pursuing a stolen herd from Lone Tree. Of thirty head stolen, only one sit bead was recovered having been sold to a Green River rancher. no trace of the remaining horses found. Kemmerer Hardware & Furniture Co. advertises a new Sit-Straight White sewing machine and other styles at its store.
A period advertisement touts Rexall Orderlies as a reliable gentle bowel regulator and tonic. It pledges complete relief or the medicine free if not satisfied and notes two sizes 10c and 25c. The Rexall Remedies are sold at The Reza Store, John F Fitzpatrick.
