A dream tale recounted by Louis Cramton of the Lapeer Clarion. A gray haired printer imagines an angel guiding him past heaven to a hellish scene among debtors and patrons, choosing heaven's modest reward over riches earned by others.
Department of the Interior publishes notice that Angelo Molinar of Kemmerer Wyoming filed a land proof application under a deed to establish a claim describing Township 29 North to Kemmerer. The notice lists witnesses Henderson and Herbenach of Kemmerer and other related names, with a January 23 deadline.
A historical note describes a topographic map covering the southern Bear Lake area and parts of Cache National Forest. It details Bear River’s oxbow lakes, irrigation use, rugged mountain terrain, and elevations from 5024 feet to near 9000 feet. Field work was done 1900 1910 by Albert Pike and A E Marlin. The map sells for five cents.
A large scale miniature Panama Canal concession, costing about 250000 dollars, was granted to Lewis E. Myers of Chicago. Myers, an engineer, aims to educate visitors by reproducing the canal and surrounding country inside a weather proof building with a glass roof.

Agricultural colleges nationwide report high demand for brief winter courses for farmers and ranchers. The University of Wyoming Agricultural College will run a short course January 6 to 17 1918 including lectures recitations and field work in agriculture with afternoon stock judging veterinary clinics milk testing and surveying. A domestic science and art course for ladies is in preparation. Evening illustrated lectures will be held throughout the two weeks.
Deputy Sheriff Rich McMinn returned to Fossil from the desert north of Rock Springs after recovering sit bead of thirty horses stolen from Lone Tree.
