Justin Pomeroy came back to his Fort Omalle ranch last week after a trip to Omaha with his wife, who died there following a planned show. Friends note the loss and offer condolences. A local listing mentions employment ads and a phone contact.
The Mystic Shrine caravan paused near Rawlins Wyoming for a ritual honoring thirty eight desert poor whom the Imperial Potentate and Illustrious Potentate K H Hadsell aided with distribution of rewards. Charles Miller reported the event while two travelers from Kemmerer faced trials including a spinning wheel act observed by Nobles A D Hoskins and Ralph W Smith.

Federal engineers warn mine fires cause hundreds of deaths and millions in damage. Two recent disasters Cherry Illinois 242 lives lost and Purcoa st mine near Boranton Pa 74 dead traced to trivial causes easily prevented with fire drills and better protection. Advances include oxygen helmet use and targeted regulations to confine fires and protect workers.
Plans for a large new pump house on the south side of the bridge advance water service for Diamondville Oakley and Glencoe with improved mains and tanks. St James Episcopal near Cedar avenue and Earl Street will build a home with modern facilities including a basement assembly area and gym. Construction may begin May 1 with costs around 4500 for the main bath and additional rooms.
Two more cars of elk were moved from Kemmerer to Cheyenne under an assistant game warden’s charge. It is assumed the herd will be taken to the Laramie Peak country to restock that reserve, with more elk shipped toward Medicine Bow in Carbon County. The article notes elk may migrate into Colorado, urging a lasting hunting season policy to support future increases.
A weekend game at Frontier Hall saw Kemmerer Eighth Grade edge Kemmerer Town in a close contest. Eighth graders Harold Jetters Billy Townsend Lom Jones Herbert Chirk Tommy Roberts and D Miller faced Second Town players Bd Gunter George Parker Harvey Piper Dean Palmer Bryan Sammon John Cleveland Vaughn Lyons refereed by Sim Ross. Attendance was light despite it being a sport that should attract local interest.
