Lincoln County Faces Bridge Cost for Jackson Hole Water Raise
State Engineer Parshall rejects US Reclamation Service plan to raise Jackson Lake seventeen feet. A bridge would be needed across the river below the lake to replace the ford used by Wilson and Jackson. Estimated cost 46 000 to 40 000. Congress would fund 27 000 if Lincoln County pays the rest. Parshall argues the new county cannot bear the full cost and the government should cover it.
