Good Roads 16 Topic Discussed in Kemmerer Meeting

Wyoming Troops to Land in New York Tomorrow

Telegram to the Camera from Senator John B. Kendrick says Wyoming boys in the Forty first Sunset Division are due to land in New York on February 18. The 116th Supply Train sailed earlier and the 116th Ammunition Train with Kemmerer and Lincoln County men is at sea and expected to land soon. The telegram notes many local boys will join the contingent, with machine gun company members re-assigned to the ammo train after serving in France. It also states there is no information yet on Seton Stiner of Wyoming embarking.

Vancouver Soldier Recovering in Local Hospital

Pvt. O. H. Gadd of Vancouver Washington was taken from a troop train bound for Camp Pike after an appendicitis attack. He received care at a local hospital, praised Kemmerer staff, and plans to return to Memphis Tennessee after discharge.

Mrs Mason Dies in Salt Lake City Hospital

Mrs Wm Mason daughter of Jake Herschler of Fontenelle died in a Salt Lake City hospital at 1:00 AM after several weeks of illness. She had been transported by special car from Kemmerer and had shown signs of improvement before a rapid decline. She leaves her husband, parents, two sisters Mrs Beck and Mrs Fuller, one brother Ned Herschler, and an infant who was born during her hospital stay. U S Cline, pioneer of Star Valley, visited Kemmerer yesterday.

Apartment Hose to Be Erected in Kemmerer

The Camera reports a planned two story brick fireproof apartment building in Kemmerer with a basement heating plant laundry storage janitor apartments on both floors. It will have four six room and two four room units on the first floor and two and three room units on the second floor. Construction expected in early spring with occupancy by August first. J. L. Fleming of Big Piney visited Kemmerer last week.
