Mesars Joseph McFarland and John B. Smith returned from Indianapolis where 1120 delegates met for the United Mine Workers convention. A key change calls for one delegate per 2000 members, with Wyoming noted as a wage leader in the west. A possible general strike was discussed if eastern operators and unions fail to reach an agreement.
Longtime Green River valley resident Mrs Eugenie Cleophas, blind for three years, plans a move to California for eye treatments. The couple’s log cabin on the Cottonwood near the Green River holds heirlooms from Louis XV times, valuable paintings, and era artifacts.

Reports from Rock Springs and Green River describe record snow across southwestern Wyoming with heavy losses and widespread feeding near rail lines. About fifty bands or 175 000 sheep are concentrated within twenty miles of Rock Springs as hay rises to 10 50 a ton and corn to 1 60 a bushel. One feeder lost 1200 sheep in a snowbank while frozen conditions persist from Point of Rocks to the western border.
Justice K. Lee Craig officiated the noon Saturday ceremony uniting Fames Fisher of Susie and Miss Clara Srortat of Glencoe. The wedding took place at Mrs. Hf Nelson’s residence in Kemmerer. The groom is a miner at Susie and they will reside there.
