A poem by Louis C. Cramton recounts a printer aged and gray describing a Christmas dream of an angel warning about a heaven for the rich and a hell for debtors. The tale ends with the printer preferring heaven as is.
Notice is given that Angelo Molinar of Kemmerer Wyoming filed Desert Land Act claim No. 02 for a parcel described as the nw and dehsw of certain tracts. The hearing to establish the claim is set before the commissioner in Kemmerer Wyoming on January 23. Parties named include W. Ramos and witnesses Lew Senderson Josephsia Ketmerer, Thorome etc.
A USGS topographic map covering the Randolph quadrangle in the Cache National Forest shows Bear River winding through a flat valley 2 to 5 miles wide with oxbow lakes formed by river meanders. Bear Lake sits at about 5024 feet. forest elevations range 7000 to 9000 feet. Field work was done 1900-10 by Albert Pike and A E Marlin. copies are sold by the Survey Director for five cents.
Lewis E. Myers of Chicago received a concession worth about 250000 to build a weather proof miniature Panama Canal model. He toured the canal zone to design a truthful reproduction of the canal and its surrounding country under a glass-roofed building.
