Moose Dance Enjoyed By Young Crowd At Thanksgiving Event

A large jovial crowd attended the Moose dance at the Lyewasr theater on Thanksgiving night. The Kem merer orchestra played lively music into the early hours as red and white crepe streamers decorated the hall. Guests received pennants bearing P A P and were greeted with a refined supper served by Catholic church ladies.

Union League Forms in Diamondville Sessions at Wisdom Hall

A new organization named the Union League has formed in Diamondville. It holds weekly Sunday meetings at Wisdom Hall with speakers discussing topics of interest, such as Thos. Cutler of Elko presenting fifty minutes on "The Value of Reputation." The group plans winter sessions and invites interested attendees.

Unknown Man Dead in Moxie Area After Train Injury

Coroner T B Carnahan was called to Moxie near Granger on Wednesday night where a coal miner about 9% years old was found dead near the trail road track. He appeared dazed, had been seen the day before by two men, and showed signs of violence suggesting collision with a train. An inquest in Kemmerer Thursday afternoon returned a verdict that death was by unknown causes. The body was held briefly and buried in Kemmerer cemetery.

Monay Home Ready for Occupancy in Kemmerer

A new brick residence in Kemmerer, built for Mr and Mrs Monay, is complete but not occupied this winter due to Mr Monay’s duties at Kemmerer Coal Company. L E Halbert has rented the home and plans to move in soon. The dwelling is described as one of Kemmerer’s palatial homes.

James P. Folger, after twenty years with Harriman lines, resigns as Kemmerer chief dispatcher with plans to rest and pursue other opportunities. L. E. Hulbert and Johnny Mack will assume dispatching duties. the Diamondville towns plan a new road across a treacherous gully to improve travel, with cost and effort underway.

C J Husted Undergoes Operation for Growth

Assistant superintendent C J Husted of the Oregon Short Line was operated on at the LSD hospital in Salt Lake City on Thursday of last week for a growth near the right shoulder. The procedure was successful and he is recovering, expected to be out of the hospital this week.

Davis Made Assistant Superintendent in Idaho Rail Line

Davis, longtime Kemmerer figure and former Oregon Short Line dispatcher, is promoted to assistant superintendent and train master for the fourth district with duties from Glenn's Ferry to Huntington. Headquarters set at Nampa Idaho. Known locally as Davie, he moved from Kemmerer two years ago to Pocatello as chief dispatcher and has now earned the new post.

John O Connell Dead in Boln mining district

John O Connell of Boln Wyoming died yesterday of Brights disease at his post 1025 North Nineteenth Street after two days illness. Born in Harrisburg Kentucky he lived in Boln years and worked in the city street department seven years. He leaves a wife a brother and a sister. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Woodmen of the World. Sympathy extended to Mrs O Connell from the community.
