New Slope Completed at No 5 Mine Sublet
After seven months of excavating a new slope in No 5 mine Sublet, the project is finished adding 1400 feet of access. New electrical gear will be installed to boost daily coal output and reduce power use. A carload of 75 miners from Colorado arrived at Kemmerer and work continues to meet rising coal demand. 100 more workers are expected soon.
