The Camera installs a Tangye six column press capable of 2200 sheets per hour printing four pages at a time. Weight about four tons, freight from Chicago 158, includes latest press improvements such as tapelow delivery air springs and cutter. Installation led by Emil Lilgerone with assistants after days of work.
A devastating flood swept Rock Springs at 2:40. Water poured into cellars on C street and South Front, overflowing into shops and the Lyric theater, Grand Theatre, and other buildings. Pumps worked all night, depots were puddled, and vast material losses occurred as homes and businesses flooded, with mud several inches deep at depot park.
