At the last meeting the town council approved two new steel cells for prisoner holding. They were bought from Laramie and some from the old territorial prison. The cells will be placed behind the city building and the old jail will not be used. The current building is nearly unfit for housing prisoners and when needed, a special guard is ordered by the police judge.
Big Piney community updates include Charlee Anderson returning from Waugh Hibbing and plans for Opal business trips. Zack Noble prepares cattle movement to the Basin. Jenkins lectures at Viney school house. Fred Beck and Will Baldwin depart for Opal to obtain supplies. Ed Swan manages ranch interests from Salt Lake City. Doris Huddleston returns home to Stanley after a stay with Mrs Jamen Mickelson. Levi Lehmer family travel to Riverton Wyoming for summer residence. An Onlooker promotes a Sunday visit to Barretts Park. Quaker Maid Hye is claimed to be guaranteed by the Pure Food Law Jie Canotia distributor.
Coroner F R Curtin investigated the drowning of George Peerognanis, a Greek stoker at No 1 mine. Peerognanis and Gus Ackerland swam in a boiler exhaust pool about 30 feet long and 12 feet deep. Peerognanis vanished underwater with no visible injuries. The body was later taken to Salt Lake for burial.

In Cinta County Wyoming District Court probate notice states letters of administration for Ellen Felton deceased were issued April 8 1904 to the undersigned. Creditors must present claims with vouchers to Bryanston Villa County Wyoming within six months or be barred after one year from the letters date. Dated April 1904 Peter as Administrator and J W Sammon attorney.
In Washington March 27 a Desert Land Office circular explains that prior desert entries lost or abandoned qualify for the act of March 21 1908 to permit a second entry. Fraud, cancellation for valuable consideration, or assignment void the benefit. Applications follow February 5 1908 instructions with updated affidavits. Fred Dennett Commissioner.
