A compilation of editorials and opinions attacking tariffs as the cause of trusts, praising Roosevelt’s potential 1904 nomination, and condemning Carrie Nation for anti saloon actions. The Salt Lake City press notes a planned price drop for whiskey, praising lower costs for the coming season.
Notice is given that in compliance with acts of Congress a timber and stone land sale, Joas L. Lave of Rewmerer Uinta county Wyoming, has filed to purchase nek of Bec 25 Tp 42 N R 116 sixth M. Adverse claims must be filed within sixty days. Witnesses listed include William Newbrough Arthur Hobinson Charles Boweh and Hebert St Lewis. Proof will be before the Register in Evanston Wyoming on May 4 1908.
The district schools shall be freely accessible to all resident children aged six to twenty one. Parents must send children to school at least three months yearly unless excused for invalidity or hardship with physician certificate. Excuses noted in board minutes. appeals lie to the county superintendent whose decision is final.
A 1903 Wyoming note reports strict enforcement of school attendance laws. Parents or guardians of children ages seven to sixteen may be fined up to twenty five dollars per offense for non attendance. Police must notify the school board when a child loiters. the board investigates. If violations occur, the county superintendent may file complaints against the parent or the child. Kemmerer, April 9, 1903.

A public notice warns Johnie Johnston Erickson and Moses Lewis that four Petroleum placer mining claims in section 26 and 86, township 21 north, range 118 west, 6th principal meridian, will be held under United States law. If owners do not contribute their shares within ninety days, their interests may transfer to the subscribers for nonpayment.
