Elk stay in mountains as winter mild in Jackson Hole
Milton Robinson of Kelley reports a mild winter in the northern part of the county and a spring start for crops. Cattle wintered well and much hay remains. Elk stayed in mountain parks, reducing feeding needs and derailing many shipments to outside preserves. Ten large corrals were erected to drive elk for feeding.
