Senator Robert J. Gamble of South Dakota introduces bills to create a Belle Fourche land office and open about 1,750,000 acres in Pine Ridge and Rosebud reservations for settlement. The Belle Fourche district would cover the southern part of Butte county and northern Meade county townships.
