From Monéys Daily: Bryan will arrive in Joliet on Friday morning aboard Santa Fe at 9 o'clock and stay about one hour before leaving for Streator. An arrangement was made Sunday afternoon by national committees with local officials. The meeting plans include clearing the city hall lot and avoiding railroad noise at the crossing near Scott and Clinton streets.
A 0 man named John Hart, resident of Channahon, reportedly killed himself by jumping into a canal on a Sunday afternoon. The spot, chosen for secrecy, was hidden from passersby and observed briefly by a passing boat, with the body later recovered ashore after about an hour.
