New Lenox cattle breeder Joseph Kestel returned from the Chicago stock show with eight ribbons and one special prize. He earned first on two year old heifer and bull calf, second on aged bull, yearling bull and produce of cow, third on yearling bull and calf, and fourth on aged herd. Eight herds entered, about 100 head. Kestel took home $224 in cash prizes and made several sales at the stock yards.
