Mrs J W Patterson hosted a supper. Kate Ward led the Flinch club. Albert Brainard wed Miss Alice Wellman in Plainfield. Mrs Brainard is sister to Mrs Albert Graver.
The Royal Neighbors camp honored Mrs. Mary Owens for her service as recorder with a surprise visit and supper. Officers for the new year were elected including Oracle Helen Gascoigne and Recorder Mary Owens, among others. Plainfield lodge No.586 A M F and A M also elected Worshipful Master A E Mottinger and other officers for the fourteenth year.

A new electrical paddling machine invented by Professor Denniss is in use at a public school in East Penna near Peoria Illinois. The device straps a pupil to a chair and delivers electric paddles to the body when activated. Local residents protest and threaten to pull their children from the school if the device remains in use.
