Jail return set for Iowa prisoner after Joliet escape
Frank ONeil alias James Raymond, who fled from Iowa’s Joliet prison after a 1895 escape, must serve out an unfinished term in Anamosa Iowa. He had been sentenced in Scott county Iowa on October 4 1902 for burglary and was recaptured during a Joliet stay. Requisition actions by Governor Deneen have formalized his transfer back to Iowa.

Alton Train Crew Captures Fugitive Peterman
James Peterman, 23, of Pontiac, captured by C. and A. train crew after a Saturday night struggle near Alton. He was taken to prison with an officer from the reformatory, and the bugler was not sounded at 6:00 p.m. Saturday. Authorities had broadcast an alarm but Peterman avoided immediate capture.

Emile Sievert Fatally Crushed In Yard Engine Accident
