A special train leaves Joliet via the J J and K line in the morning with no charge for passengers as Jones Democrats chartered it. Markets oats coal and flour prices are listed as 87340 20 952 81.80.

Arthur Whitson, young man employed by Goodwin Brothers of Manhattan, was thrown from their delivery wagon at Ottawa and Clinton streets. His right leg broke between the knee and hip after a horse kicked him. he had a narrow escape from death.
West sends big meat shipments to packing houses and wholesale prices fall while retail prices stay high for a few weeks to recover losses from last winter. Butchers complain tight profits as packing houses stop trimming waste and pork loin and round steak sell at 14 to 18 cents per pound in Joliet.
