Harold Ellis, grandson of Mr and Mrs William Ellis of Braceville, was killed near his Scranton home in a Delaware and Hudson freight yard incident. He crawled toward a moving train to fetch ice for friends when his head was severed by the locomotive. He was about nine or ten years old.
