John Nicholas Hammel 39, motorman on the J and 5S express car, died after blood poisoning following an operation at St Josephs hospital. He lived at 1001 North Center Joliet and was married October 10, 1900 in Lemont to Anna Herman Hammel. Survived by widow, four brothers Fred Joseph Henry Victor and three sisters, with funeral Sunday at 1 30 from his home to St Johns German Catholic Church at Hickory and Division.
