Farmer 1 Killed by Gas From Stove
Alfred Riddon a prominent farmer living south east of Ritchie was found dead Christmas afternoon by his half brother Herman Smith. Death was due to asphyxiation from a burning kerosene stove. Mrs Richon visiting in Chicago hurried home. Coroner Wunderlich left for Ritchie to hold an inquest. Riddon had no children and was well known in Wilmington.
