Edward P Lyon long prominent in Washington township agriculture and Will County resident since 1852 died last night at 505 Elwood avenue after years of poor health. Born July 18 1842 in New York state he moved to Chicago then to Will County settling in Washington township before relocating to Joliet. Survived by a son Leverett Lyon a Joliet township high school faculty member and a brother Edward. wife Mrs Lyon preceded him. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 o clock from the home with burial at Peotone.
