The Trinity M rs church will entertain with a box social tomorrow evening in the church parlor. A good program will be given and a time is promised.
Chicago reports the Rock River Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church opens this evening at Woodlawn Methodist Church with fewer preachers than expected. Several ministers have withdrawn from key pastorates to pursue other church work, including Rev. C. Lewis River Forest, Rev. H. H. Rood Aurora, Rev. J. W. Holland St. John's Chicago, and Rev. Harry F. Ward Union Avenue M. E. Chicago.
Summit, the state’s highest point, is a busy junction of the Joliet & Southern and Michigan Central lines. Both roads are constructing a tunnel under the Michigan Central at this point, employing about three hundred men. Rail lines from New Lenox to Frankfort will be joined within days.
