The sixty-ninth Rock River Methodist Episcopal Conference opens September 29 at Woodlawn Park Church Chicago. Bishop Thomas B Neeley presides with Rev F B Crawford pastor and Rev C K Carpenter conference treasurer. Water Way Bond Plan Promotes Self Paying Canal

Illinois internal improvement commission plans a deep waterway from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi with a $20,000,000 bond issue. Isham Randolph says 140,000 horsepower could be developed and annual revenue from water power estimated at $2,500,000. Voters will decide in the coming fall election on constitutional amendment to permit bonds and construction without tax cost.

The Twentieth Annual Y P C U of Illinois met at the Universalist Convention with devotion, business, and talks on devotional and social work.
