A six feet tall, slender man, sandy hair, gray suit, white straw hat, possibly a mustache, around 30, described by local saloonkeepers who were victimized.

Beating Son With Strap Prompted Fine and Appeal
Jacob Gain of 1815 Oakland Avenue was fined five dollars and costs for beating his seven year old son Joseph with a strap as punishment for staying away from home and sleeping under a porch. An immediate appeal was filed by defense attorney J. J. Wellnits. Judge Goodspeed endorsed parental corporal punishment in theory but said the specific beating was unnecessary.
