Reporter 15 Hurt In Buggy Accident Near Wilmington
Frank G. Chladek and Herbert Uptograff were returning from a day of sport on the Kankakee river when their buggy horse jolted onto the raised pike north of Wilmington. Chladek was thrown, wheels passed over him, and he lay unconscious until help arrived. He regained consciousness en route to the city and suffered only painful injuries that kept him home.

Chalstrom Fatally Injured On Rock Island Golden State Limited
Chas Chalstrom 43 of 112 Virginia street died after either jumping or falling from the Rock Island Golden State Limited near Center street after 10 pm Saturday. He left home with wife and family and was taken to St Josephs hospital where he died at 3:30 pm Sunday. An inquest at Johnsons funeral rooms heard he likely sought a ride downtown and jumped as the train neared Rockdale. Survived by wife, three children, six brothers and two sisters. Funeral Wednesday at 1:30 pm at his residence, Oakwood Cemetery burial with Rev H M Swan officiating.
