Investigation Ordered Into Treatment Of Dwight Casey

On Cass street near Eastern avenue yesterday afternoon two mishaps occurred within twenty minutes. J H S Myers, of 622 Collins street, broke his left leg attempting to board a moving car. A motorcyclist at Eastern avenue speed thirty five mph struck a passing car and was knocked senseless briefly before returning to work. Heat drew crowds to parks as traction companies ran all day.

Auto Damaged by Fire in Union Street Incident
W W Barber, 401 Union Street, watched his big White Steamer ignite as he started it yesterday morning. The engine and parts burned. the top was nearly gone. Fire Chief Langdon investigated, Barber said it caught from a spark. With 15 gallons of gasoline nearby, the car could have exploded. firefighters extinguished the blaze. Estimated value $2,500. repairs will be extensive and unknown until overhaul begins. Barber had no insurance.
