Body Recovered From Canal in Lockport
The body of Staseh Stroloski of Lemont, drowned in the old canal Saturday, was found near the locks in Lockport about 5 pm yesterday. Searchers Peter Kettman and Edw. Rick, Lemont residents, located the remains and moved them to Markeiwicz's undertaking rooms in Lemont. Funeral services were held at the Polish church this afternoon with interment in Lemont cemetery.

Humane Society Arrests Maidment Over Starved Horses

Bodies of Jacobs and Brooker Reported Drowned in Illinois River

West Side Runaway Accident Injures Two in Rocky Row Park Run
William Oliver and Miss Clara Morrison suffered injuries when their buggy collided with a second carriage on Bluff Road near William Davidson's residence last night. Oliver sustained severe head bruises and body cuts, while Morrison escaped with facial bruising and minor injuries. The other occupants were unhurt as bystanders and residents aided in stopping the horses and returning the injured to safety.
