Plainfield High School Commencement Honors and Address

Billy Mason spoke on Our Country at Plainfield M E church as graduates received diplomas from Prof J Stanley Brown. Eversoll orchestra opened, Mrs E Carver sang, and several students were named for diplomas. Prof Browne praised the school and community support, Mason offered civic advice, and the night closed with musical numbers and a xylophone display.

Rock Run park hosts a five mile bicycle race featuring Han Dicap with a $20 cash purse. Daily trips are advertised as part of the park’s picnic day lineup.

Burglars Steal Carpenter Tools on Harris Avenue

Burglars took a number of carpenters tools from a house being erected on Harris avenue. The tools belonged to Clem Gerich and another carpenter and were left at the site overnight. Loss estimated at about $10. Police are pursuing leads to recover the stolen items. Bicycle race two mile handicap purse 15 cash at Ingali Park July 4.
