Parade to form at Island Depot for Catholic Total Abstinence delegates
Temperance workers from across the state gather for the thirty ninth annual convention in Joliet. Father D J Crimmins and Father W J McNamee lead arrangements for entertaining five hundred delegates arriving at Island Depot. Joliet Hibernian cadets head the parade with a non sectarian mass meeting featuring prominent speakers and Easter music by Anton Schager.

Judge Campbell spent the last term morning trying to settle matrimonial troubles. He refused a divorce but kept the children in the custody of relatives where they were placed after the separation. The case, reopened after the father was granted a prior divorce, centered on the mother’s alleged unfaithfulness as testified by a son.
