Police to attend Illinois Association meeting in Rockford

FiveYearOld Dewitt Bolton Makes Narrow Water Rescue

Five year old Dewitt Bolton fell ten feet through a hole in a Forage over Spring Creek and into four foot water. His father Hugh Bolton and mother Mrs Bolton pulled him to safety as a broken plank caused the plunge. Dewitt recovered from shock and was cared for by relatives before returning home. Street officials ordered repairs and a council report is expected next week.

A 300 guest banquet at the Marks Opera House marked the chimes dedication at Plainfield M E church. Mayor C C Whipple Dr J P Browne and Rev Pooley spoke on bells society and commencement plans with community and Chicago visitor Mr Beggs noted.

Premature Fireworks Sales Prompt Police Action

The city police and Chief McMasters ordered all fireworks dealers to stop premature sales after reports of violations. Officers warned Frank Brummond to cease selling Chinese crackers amid several incidents of frightened horses near Cen ter and Exchange. Orators in Plenty at Aurora Banquet

Aurora hosts a large political banquet in the coliseum with 500 guests, featuring Senator Albert Hopkins, Samuel Alschuler, Rainey, Burton, Shurtleff, Snapp, McGoorty, Cannon and others. A Joliet delegation will attend, plans include orchestra, quartet, elaborate decorations, and a reception with a full menu. The Louisiana car transports about twenty five guests to the event starting at 6 pm Friday.

Sixty-Five Year Old Woman Seeks Big Suit Against President

Mrs. Paulie Thompson of Lee NL near Aurora contemplates suing President Roosevelt for breach of promise. She seeks $500000 for alleged heart damage and is detained in Sycamore hospital awaiting lunacy commission exam. She was deserted by her husband nine years ago and traveled to consult attorneys.

Miss Sadie Connors and Jesse Brown quietly married yesterday morning in Geneva Illinois. The bride wore a brown silk dress and white picture hat. There were no attendants. The couple returned to their city home on Plainfield Avenue that evening.
