A man, Willie Wade, a Lockport resident, was killed instantly by a southbound Chicago and Joliet street car at Bruce's Landing while lying across the tracks. Edminston Darragh was hospitalized after being thrown from a Boulevard Heights car with two broken ribs. Wade’s body was brought to Johnson's undertaking rooms for inquest.

Wilmington Man Found Dead Near Farm Home
Thomas Ray a farmer living one and one half miles south of Wilmington was found dead in bed early today. Deputy Coroner Frank Noelie said an investigation was under way with results not yet learned. Ray had been in the city earlier and returned home about six. He was about fifty five and survived by his wife and several grown children.

Marys School Graduates Class At Joliet Opera House
The final exercises of St Marys parochial school were held at the Joliet opera house with a large audience. Miss Marie C Lennon completed the high school course and twelve earned diplomas for the two year commercial program. Eighth grade graduates include Katie Hogan Norvine Bannon and many others. The program opened with a chorus by the senior girls and diplomas were conferred by Rev W J McNamee. A cantata The Mother Goose tale Roy Blue was presented with songs and recitations.
