Splendid entertainment at St Marys parochial school graduation in Joliet theater drew a full house. Rev H P Smyth of Evanston spoke on the public schools while supporting Christian schooling. Reed School Pupils Delighted Gann Chapel Audience

Reed school pupils under Miss Adeline Stephen presented a large program in Gann chapel. The event featured songs, recitations, readings, essays, Delsarte drill, and diploma presentations by the eighth grade graduates Irene Brayton and Raymond Stephen, ending with Stars and Stripes Forever. A furniture ad promotes J A Doolittle and Co. at 914 316 Van Buren Street.

St Joseph's Hospital Carnival Plans Discussed At Meeting

Joliet citizens push a carnival week to aid St Joseph's hospital. A general committee is to be formed at Trades and Labor hall tonight. Labor groups and railroads may support with excursions. Letter Carriers' picnic set for Sunday June 23 with special trains.

Heggie Brothers Plant Keeps Busy in Prosperous Times

Heggie Brothers on East Jackson Street report full orders and strong demand. James G says times are good for manufacturers with contracts pending including boilers for McKenna, oe W Coal, American Cereal, Aeton Coal, and tanks for Sulzberger Schwarzschild. Engravers and Plate Printers Leaders Tour Joliet

Harry Szegedy National President and Thomas Roache National Secretary, both from Washington D C, visited Joliet with Ed R Smith and John Clyne. They toured the penitentiary and Lockport power works after attending a Chicago convention and planned further inspection of the plant on Jackson Street.

Sunday School Program Shines at Gunn Chapel

At Gunn Chapel Sunday school presented a well received entertainment Monday evening in the Sunday school rooms. Elopement tale rocks a suburban family

Olive Walters speaks of her father Joseph Walters who left his wife and two daughters to elope with Bertha Lorenz the 16 year old hired girl. Walters went to Chicago then Kansas City with Lorenz and wrote his wife he loved her but could not explain his act.
