Joliet Public Library enters its thirty-sixth year as the thirty-fifth ends. Librarian Mrs Barickman and the board release annual figures listing 32 752 volumes 18070 in general use 14682 reference with 38 missing. Fiction dominates circulation 5352 general 21094 juvenile. juvenile non fiction 1374 biographies 1367. Adults and children used the library heavily with 90680 volumes issued for home use and 15810 reference consultations. children's room attendance reached 30874. A long list of new titles follows along with author names and series entries.
