W J Adam leads the new Adam Steel and Wire Works with $50,000 capital, incorporators Folger Adam and Robert A Cameron. Main offices will be in Chicago, manufacturing metal and wood products. The Steel Works band will open at Electric Park Sunday with cars every thirty minutes, 26 cents round trip.
The court adjourned Thursday noon to 3 pm so the bar could attend the funeral of Charles W. Munn, a late Will county bar member. A bar association meeting appointed a committee to draft resolutions of respect. The will contest by James Ferguson et al. remains, with an appeal possible after the denial of a new trial. Henry Roehler, administrator, had a foreclosure suit against William Wehmhoefer Jr. and wife dismissed.

Fairbanks expected as next vice president, with Scott urging Fairbanks. Lafollette leaves for Madison aiming to contest credentials. his defeat blamed on a 1903 Chautauqua speech harming his allies.
A Steel Works club reports items stolen including four billiard balls boxing gloves a bag and a punching bag. A reward of 5 dollars is offered for the billiard balls 10 dollars for the thief responsible with the other items and 5 dollars for arrest and conviction.
Will C. Fletcher son of Mr and Mrs E B Fletcher formerly of this city married Thursday at Sterling Indiana to Miss Harriet Philips. A wedding trip to St Louis will follow after which they will live at 424 West Twentieth Street New York. The groom is known in Joliet and works for Metropolitan Insurance in New York.
Services at Ridgewood United Church on Second Hobbs avenues invite all to a children’s day program. The day features a long list of songs recitations duets and addresses by the school and local figures with a 7 p.m. program and a morning baptism. A free will offering will go to missions.
