Saloon keeper fined for disorderly conduct in court
Geo. W. Keiber, operator of the saloon at 41 Cass street, was fined $5 and costs totaling $7.25 after Frank Sherwood accused him of disorderly conduct. Sherwood said Keiber maltreated him and behaved unbecomingly. Keiber had prior trouble over women frequenting the premises.

Yesterday morning Mrs. Theobold wife of the Jackson street saloonkeeper and Mrs. Kowalski quarrelled. Mrs. Theobold arrived at police headquarters during the afternoon and warrants were sworn out for disorderly conduct. Magistrate Allen issued the papers and Lieut Connors made the arrest. Mrs. Kowalski will have a hearing on Tuesday June 27. Also noted is an upcoming excursion by the Chicago and Alton from Joliet to Bloomington for 1.50 round trip, on Sunday June 25, under the Order of Railway Conductors.
