Probate filed for Harriet Richards estate. The will dated March 16 1890 leaves 18000 dollars with equal shares to listed heirs including Marion Mulford Almira M Smith Edith Richards and others. Marion Mulford named sole administrator. Almira Smith's share to revert to the estate on a legal proposition.
Mayor Crolius announces that sprinkling hours do not apply to the courthouse square. Sheriff Ray to use his own judgment on sprinkling as the area is a county park enjoyed by city and county residents. The water department previously sought an exception, but the courthouse lawn remains a priority and will receive ample water.
Miss Mabel Boyd hosted the Marguerite chapter officers of the Eastern Star at her Wilmington Road home yesterday. The event included a 2 pm caravan return in carryalls, music and games, followed by an elaborate 6 pm dinner. Guests listed include Mrs J T Clyne Mrs Bissell Miss Lucy Groth and others. An excursion to Michigan City is scheduled for June 19 departing Joliet in the morning and returning at 6 16 pm.
