Elaborate Solemn High Mass Wedding of Corcoran and Creed
Thomas Corcoran and Miss Margaret Creed wed at St Marys Church in a grand ceremony at 8:30 am. Rev Father OBrien and Father Green led the mass with Deacon OBrien and Subdeacon O'Dwyer assisting. Best man Patrick Creed and bridesmaid Miss OReilly attended, followed by a large breakfast at Elwood street. The couple plan a short honeymoon and will reside on the West side.

Maher Connors Nuptials At St Marys Church
William Maher married Miss Sarah Connors this morning at 7 30 in a nuptial high mass at St Marys Church. Rev Father OBrien officiated as the couple were united. The bride wore white organ died for white silk and the bridesmaid was Miss Lulu Maher. Best man was Martin Maher. The groom works for Connors Bros at 1109 Collins Street and the bride resides with her brothers at 1804 Columbia Street. After a wedding breakfast they left for a western trip.

Old Pioneer Elizabeth McGovern Dies in Chicago
Elizabeth Mc Govern died at 87 in Chicago after arriving there in 1837 from Detroit by wagon. Husband John McGovern, who laid Chicago's first water mains, died years ago and Rev J J McGovern of St Denis Lockport is a son. Surviving children include others. she helped found St Mary's parish.
