Children’s Day services planned by Grace M. E. Church for tomorrow feature music readings recitations and exercises. An evening sermon follows at 7 30 with a schedule of songs duets readings and classroom performances by many named participants.

Big crowd is expected as Moran's Jokets meet the Chicago Mail Carriers at Wanderers Park Chicago tomorrow. About three thousand mailmen are slated to attend amid a full grandstand as rain delays other games and rivals from Thetler Park prepare for a fast, furious matchup with Brain and Dalton forming the Dugan battery and Briedert and Wiles for Joliet.

County jail for Wadnesday wife beater in Longworthy case
Walter Longworthy father of seven was jailed after Justice Nichols found him guilty of beating his wife in their Railroad Street home. The wife testified she was knocked unconscious and forced to surrender earnings. He faces arraignment Monday as officials consider harsher punishment.
