Drunken Sleep Fatal for Two Sanitary Workers in Lockport
Patrick Dussy and Lawrence Egan, Sanitary District employees, were killed by train No. 8 eastbound near Sixteenth Street Lockport as they slept on the tracks after an evening drinking. The engineer J W Callahan could not stop in time. both men identified by pay checks, one dying instantly and the other at midnight. An inquest followed at Adleman’s undertaking rooms.
Woman in Lockport Takes Paris Green Poison
Mrs. Margaret Clark a 74 year old Lockport resident drank Paris Green at her Washington street home Sunday afternoon dying at 7 pm. She was alone with no stated motive. Coroner Noel presided at the inquest the jury finding she had taken the poison with intention.

Tunis Lynk Pioneer of New Lenox Passes Away
Tunis Lynk aged 78 a pioneer settler of New Lenox township died at home after a winter illness. Born January 20, 1829 in Columbia County New York he came to the county in 1852 and ran a store post office and express office in New Lenox. Surviving are his wife a daughter Emma Lynk Kercheval two sons William R. Lynk and Jay Lynk and brothers and sisters in New Lenox township. Funeral arrangements include interment at Maple Woods.
