Daring Move Sparks Riot At Will County Democratic Convention

At Joliet yesterday a chaotic convention erupted as Haley tried to force a viva voce vote for delegates. Stevens led a coalition with Bowles and Henderson defeating Haley and securing a state central committee seat amid riotous scenes and shouted curses.

Annual Alushi Banquet Set for June 8

Elaborate preparations for the alumni banquet to be held Wednesday evening June 18 at Castlehall. Association members aim to outdo past events with a larger menu, better decorations, and a customary dance afterward.
