Miss Kennedy’s Body Recovered After Flood Drowning
The fourth day after the Desplaines flood a body identified as Miss Mabel Kennedy daughter of Mr and Mrs James F Kennedy was found by William Rodgers near the Desplaines river bank south of Patterson station. The body was snagged on clothing to a post and towed ashore with help from Michael Scott. The scene drew police and local workers to the riverfront.

Mrs Charles Myers entertained the Ladies of the Maccabees Perry Hive at 108 Stevens Ave Thursday for her birthday. Progressive euchre ran from 2 to 6 pm with three prizes awarded.
