Josephine Stasso three month old daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Stasso of 1010 North Fastern avenue died early Sunday morning from convulsions after an illness. Coroner Wunderlich summoned and held an inquest Sunday afternoon.
William Avery of Joliet is first entrant listed for the $25,000 New York to Chicago airship race. E A Laughlin of Joliet Railway Supply Co acts as entry agent. Avery, tied to Laughlin in aviation ventures, co operates on Chanute era biplanes and plans a return trip if the race succeeds.
Alfonso Spezia was shot in the hip while crossing the Richards street bridge with his brother near 104 Lehman avenue. The assailants fled into darkness. Spezia suspects a case of mistaken identity and plans to return to work soon as a quarryman at Central.
