The Santa Fe railroad has filed with Joliet officials its agreement on the Webster street crossing and plans to elevate tracks. Word reached here that August Peterson, formerly of this city, was killed yesterday in Jordan Minnesota on a railroad. He was forty one. Survived by brother John Peterson a former city patrolman and sister Mrs Isaac Johnson of North Collins street. Remains to arrive here tomorrow with funeral notice to follow.
Reporter efforts to interview Miss Hines about Florence Hegan failed. Neighbors heard a hallway disturbance at 2 a.m. a trunk left with unknown ownership. speculation she fled with the girl to Manhattan relatives. The family cannot be searched and officials await next steps.
