Art Club Excursion To Rock Run On June Sixth

The Art club invites all to join a Rock Run excursion Monday June 6. The trip departs Joliet at 1 PM and returns at 6 PM with progressive whist in one pavilion and military euchre in the other. Youthful Bridegroom Receives County Marriage License

Arthur McNamara aged 17 and Mabel Jones aged 18 were issued a marriage license this morning. He is among the youngest male applicants to obtain a license in the county, with the clerk noting seventy licenses issued total, including twenty two couples from outside the county and several non residents among the grooms and brides.

Reward Announced for Fake Fire Alarm Scrutiny

City fire department offers 25 reward for information leading to arrest of the person sending in false fire alarms. Three more alarms were reported from boxes 72 91 and 132 in the First ward, causing district crews to respond but find no fires.

Mrs. Clarence Davidson had an exciting experience in the storm Monday evening. The horse was frightened by icy pellets and bolted. she jumped from the buggy and escaped unharmed. She reached home shortly after, despite the short distance.

John W. White longtime Joliet resident and secretary of Chicago No 4 Elks died. Funeral was held at noon from the Masonic Temple grill room. White was active in Masons Odd Fellows and Elks and held several offices in secret societies.
